Plumbing emergency?
Stop the water.
Call us now.
Burst pipes, sewer backups, and flooding don't wait for business hours. We dispatch licensed, background-checked plumbers from our LA and San Diego hubs 24/7/365. Average response time: 47 minutes.
Do you smell gas? (Rotten eggs / sulfur)
Leave the house immediately. Do not flip light switches, do not use your phone inside, and do not start a car in the garage. Walk to a neighbor's house and call 911, then call SoCalGas (1-800-427-2200) or SDG&E (1-800-611-4372). Only call us after the utility company has cleared the property.
Call 911Do this right now while we're on our way.
Water damage compounds by the minute. Taking these three steps before our technician arrives will save you thousands of dollars in secondary damage and mold remediation.
Shut off the main water valve.
Locate your main water shutoff. It's usually in the garage, crawlspace, or outside near the front hose bib. Turn the gate valve clockwise, or turn the ball valve lever perpendicular to the pipe. This stops the flow immediately.
Turn off the water heater.
If the leak is near or coming from your water heater, turn off the gas valve (to "pilot" or "off") or flip the electric breaker. Do not turn off the water supply to the heater if the tank is empty and hot, as this can damage the unit.
Protect your belongings.
Move electronics, rugs, and furniture out of the water's path. Do not use a standard household vacuum to suck up water (electrocution risk). Place towels at the base of doors to stop water from migrating to other rooms.
What qualifies as a plumbing emergency?
Not every leak requires a 2 AM dispatch. Here is our clinical breakdown of what demands an immediate emergency response versus what can safely wait until morning.
Burst or spraying pipe
A pressurized supply line that has ruptured and is actively spraying water into your home. This causes thousands of dollars in damage per hour. Shut off the main valve immediately and call us.
Sewer backup in multiple drains
If flushing a toilet causes water to back up into your shower, or if multiple drains are gurgling and overflowing simultaneously, your main sewer lateral is blocked. Raw sewage is a severe biohazard.
Water heater flooding
If your water heater is leaking from the tank body (not just a valve), it is failing catastrophically. Turn off the gas/power and the water supply to the unit, then call for emergency replacement.
No hot water (vulnerable household)
If you have infants, elderly family members, or immunocompromised individuals in the home, a total loss of hot water qualifies as an emergency. We will dispatch a tech to restore heat same-day.
Slab leak (active foundation water)
If you hear running water under your floors, see unexplained warm spots on your tile, or notice drywall cracking near the baseboards, you have an active slab leak. This undermines your foundation.
Single clogged toilet or sink
If you have a second bathroom or a functioning kitchen sink, a single clogged fixture is an inconvenience, not an emergency. Shut off the fixture's local valve and book a standard morning appointment.
Calm in the chaos.
When your home is flooding, you don't have time to negotiate with a dispatcher. Here is exactly what happens when you call our emergency line.
Live ETA in 60 Seconds
No call centers. No voicemail. You speak to a real dispatcher who routes the nearest truck and texts you a live GPS ETA within 60 seconds of hanging up.
Licensed & Vetted
Every emergency technician carries a CSLB license, has passed a 50-state background check, and is drug-tested. They arrive in uniform with a visible ID badge.
Transparent Flat-Rate
We charge a $149 after-hours dispatch fee. The repair itself is billed at our standard flat-rate — no 2x multipliers, no midnight price gouging, no hidden surprises.
Insurance Documentation
Water damage claims require proof. We provide time-stamped photos, moisture readings, and a detailed incident report formatted specifically for your homeowner's insurance adjuster.
What an after-hours call actually costs.
We believe emergency pricing should be as transparent as our daytime rates. Here is the exact fee structure for after-hours, weekend, and holiday dispatches.
| Time of Service | Dispatch Fee | Labor Rate |
|---|---|---|
| Standard Hours Mon–Sat, 6AM–6PM |
$89 (Waived w/ repair) | Standard Flat-Rate |
| After-Hours / Weekends Nights & Sundays |
$149 (Flat fee) | Standard Flat-Rate (1.0x) |
| Major Holidays Thanksgiving, Christmas, NYE |
$149 (Flat fee) | Holiday Rate (1.5x) |
* The dispatch fee covers the truck roll and technician mobilization. If you proceed with the repair, the standard $89 diagnostic fee is waived.
Questions you might have right now.
Our average emergency response time across Los Angeles and San Diego is 47 minutes. We dispatch 24/7 from our Sunset Blvd (LA) and Fifth Avenue (SD) hubs. Coastal and downtown addresses typically see techs in 30–40 minutes. Canyon, hillside, and far East County addresses may take 60–90 minutes depending on traffic. You will receive a live GPS ETA via text within 60 seconds of hanging up.
Most California homeowner's policies cover the resulting water damage (drywall, flooring, mold remediation) from a sudden plumbing failure, but they typically do not cover the repair of the pipe itself (which is considered maintenance). We provide comprehensive, time-stamped incident reports and moisture mapping documentation specifically formatted for insurance adjusters to help maximize your claim approval.
If you cannot find the interior shutoff (usually in the garage, near the water heater, or in a crawlspace), look outside near the street for a concrete or metal box labeled "WATER". Inside is the municipal curb stop. You can turn this off with a crescent wrench in an emergency. If you are unable to do so safely, call us immediately and our dispatcher will guide you through the process or advise you to wait for the technician.
We charge a flat $149 after-hours dispatch fee for calls outside of 6AM–6PM Monday through Saturday. However, we do not multiply our labor rates. The repair itself is billed at the exact same flat-rate price we quote during the day. The only exception is major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's Day), where labor is billed at 1.5x.
We maintain dedicated commercial emergency trucks stocked with heavy-duty sewer jetters, commercial water heater parts, and grease trap equipment. If your restaurant, retail space, or multi-family building has an emergency, call our dispatch line and specify it is a commercial call. We prioritize commercial emergencies that threaten business continuity or public health.
