Four rules we never break.
We built Pacific Line on the belief that plumbing pricing should be as reliable as the work itself. These four commitments are non-negotiable — they're printed on every technician's badge and every estimate we send.
Flat-rate, always.
You see the total price before we start — not an hourly rate that balloons as the job stretches. The quoted price is the price you pay, even if the repair takes longer than expected.
Diagnostic fee waived.
Our $89 diagnostic covers the truck roll, technician time, and full inspection. If you proceed with the repair, that $89 is credited back — making the diagnostic effectively free.
No hidden fees.
No trip charges. No after-hours surprises on scheduled calls. No "while we're in there" upsells. If we discover additional work needed, we stop, document it, and quote it separately for your approval.
Good / Better / Best.
When multiple solutions exist (e.g., repair vs. replace), we present three options with clear trade-offs. You choose — we never push the most expensive option.
Service-by-service pricing.
Real numbers from our last 4,200+ service calls across Los Angeles and San Diego. Every price below is flat-rate, includes labor and standard materials, and comes with a written warranty.

Why our pricing is different.
Not all plumbing quotes are created equal. Here's how Pacific Line compares to the three alternatives homeowners typically consider — handyman services, franchise outfits, and the "guy with a truck."

After-hours & emergency pricing.
Plumbing emergencies don't wait for business hours. We dispatch 24/7/365 from our LA and SD hubs. After-hours emergency service carries a flat dispatch fee — no multiplier on the repair itself.
Questions about pricing.
The questions we hear most often before a homeowner books. If yours isn't answered here, our dispatch desk can answer most pricing questions in under 2 minutes — no sales pitch, no pressure.
We charge an $89 diagnostic fee that covers the truck roll, technician time, and full inspection. This fee is waived if you proceed with any repair over $200 — making the diagnostic effectively free for any meaningful service call. We don't charge separate trip fees, fuel surcharges, or "minimum service" fees. The $89 is the only upfront cost, and it's credited back if you hire us.
Yes. Our published pricing is identical across both counties. Flat-rate quotes are based on the scope of work, not your city. The $89 diagnostic fee, service call minimums, and warranty terms are uniform across our entire coverage area. The only pricing variation is for commercial contracts, which are scoped per project.
Emergency service outside our standard business hours (6am–6pm, Mon–Sat) carries a $149 after-hours dispatch fee on top of standard pricing — but the repair itself is billed at the same flat rate, no multiplier. Scheduled service during business hours is at standard rates. Sunday scheduled service is at standard rates with no premium. Major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's Day) carry a 1.5× labor rate for emergency calls only.
Yes. We partner with GreenSky and Synchrony to offer 0% APR for 12 months on jobs over $1,000, 0% APR for 18 months on jobs over $5,000, and low-rate 60-month plans at 6.99–9.99% APR for homeowners who prefer smaller monthly payments. Applications take 90 seconds with a soft credit pull for pre-approval — no hard inquiry until you accept terms. Most approvals are instant.
It shouldn't be — and it rarely is. Our flat-rate quotes are binding: you pay the quoted price unless the scope of work changes at your request or we discover something during the job that was not reasonably detectable during the diagnostic. If a scope change is needed, we stop work, document the new issue with photos, present a revised written estimate, and only proceed with your approval. You're never presented with a surprise invoice at the end of a job.
Yes. For any job that requires a permit — water heater replacements, repipes, sewer line work, gas line work, new construction plumbing — the permit fee is included in our written quote. We handle the entire permit process: application, scheduling inspections, and coordinating with LADBS or municipal building departments. Permit fees themselves typically run $120–$480 depending on scope and jurisdiction, and are already factored into the price you're quoted. Any plumber who offers to "skip the permit" is asking you to take on liability — walk away.
Yes. We offer a 5% discount for active military, veterans, first responders, and seniors (65+). The discount applies to labor on any service and stacks with most promotions. To claim it, mention it at the time of booking or show valid ID to the technician. We also participate in several LA County and SD County assistance programs for low-income seniors needing critical repairs — ask our dispatch desk about eligibility.
Handyman quotes are often lower upfront but typically exclude permits, inspection coordination, warranty, and proper insurance — which can add $400–$1,200 in hidden costs and block your home's sale during escrow. Our price includes CSLB-compliant materials, full liability and workers' comp coverage, LADBS/DSD permit handling, a 2-year minimum workmanship warranty, and manufacturer warranty registration. When a handyman's unpermitted water heater installation fails and floods your home, their insurance won't cover it — ours will. The $700 difference is insurance against a $20,000 problem.
